Newsletter – new Rockfest line-up

Hi there

Now that things have settled down, relatively…….!

I’s just like to let you know that we have now moved to new studios (the Carswald Deco Centre, in Midrand), and have been broadcasting there for about six weeks now. Thanks very much to Abi Milosovich, Steve Milosovich and Kim Coetzee for a fantastic job in getting us back on air, and for the great work with the new studios. We are very excited with our new studios and would like to invite you to visit us sometime!

There have been a few changes / additions to The Rockfest line-up, a few of which will only be effective from 01 March, with two additions / changes being with immediate effect.

Grateful thanks to Phil Wright, Rick Gardiner, Robert Laing, Lesley Wright, Greg Tucker and Andre du Rand for their past contributions to The Rockfest on 93.8fm.

Welcome to relative newcomers Chris Venter, Rusty Hornsby, Wayne Hampton, Stevan Dembo, Kim Coetzee, Graham Rees, and Mandi Waldbaum, most of whom have been on the station for some time already. They join Rockfest stalwarts Aris Binikos, Max Aston, David Blood, Tamara Jeunette, Ingrid Botha, Linda Sue, Frank Heydenrych, Mike Tymvios and myself. With each of these individuals comes a wealth of musical knowledge and an incredible selection of music and this has created a formidable team that, between us, feature the best in Classic Rock, Metal, Alternative, Blues, Blues Rock, Progressive Rock, Latin Rock, Jazz, Horn Rock, Southern Rock, 70’s/80’s Disco, Folk and Hard Rock, not to mention the best in South African music, and the odd bit of Pop thrown in for good measure!

There are no prescribed playlists on The Rockfest: If it’s good, we’ll play it! 93.8fm, in fact, features great music, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We offer extremely competitive advertising rates. For more information, please contact Kim on 0835501138, or at the studio on (011) 848-6900 or (011) 848-6901. Her email address is kim@93-8fm.co.za.

We are also streaming now, via The Rockfest website, as well as via www.93-8fm.co.za.

Tune in, and enjoy the music!

ROCK LIVES on The Rockfest!!
